Extreme Makeover

Our room got the coolest makeover ever this week! The top picture is how it used to be, and the rest of the photos illustrate all the changes. You can hardly tell it's the same room!

My favorite part of the new setup us the new toy storage unit! Mom and dad got tired of our all toys being in cardboard boxes scattered throughout the living room and decided to consolidate everything to our room. Every toy has it's own box -- the train tracks, Bob the Builder, the Megablocks, the dolls, the cars, the animals, etc. We're only allowed to have a couple of toy boxes out at a time, and have to clean up after ourselves when we want to play with something new. Such organization! Even the train table, which used to be in the dining area, has been moved to our room. We love playing in here now!

The bunk bed is pretty cool, too. The only bummer is, you'll notice I sleep on the bottom bunk bed, which is fine and all, but mom and dad, worrried about my occasional clumsiness, do not allow me on the top bunk -- not even during the day! Poopy.

Lilly's having the hardest time getting used to the new arrangement -- she keeps getting out of her new bed to play after she's been tucked in for the night. Ethan and I keep a close eye on her though, and are more than happy to raise the alarm when we see her escaping when she should be sleeping! We're very attentive in that way -- just looking out for her own good!
